Dr. Lida Mardapitta-Hadjipandeli

Dr. Lida Mardapitta-Hadjipandeli is an experienced financial services professional, having worked for the Cyprus Development Bank Plc. (cdbbank) for more than 26 years. She started her career in the Management Consultancy Division of cdbbank and in 2000 moved to the Direct Investments Division, in charge initially of an investment portfolio with a technology focus and later (2003) of the whole cdbbank equities portfolio. 


In 2009 she became Head of Corporate Finance at Global Capital Securities and Financial Services Ltd (subsidiary of the cdbbank), an investment services company regulated by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission, and remained in that position until her departure in June 2013. 

She is Founder and Director of L.J.H Energy Zone Ltd, a start-up company that focuses in the provision of energy saving solutions to the residential and SME markets in Cyprus.

​She is serving as a Member of the Board of Directors in a number of private companies, active in different business sectors including financial services, energy saving technologies and retail.

Since early 2000, she is collaborating on a regular basis with the EC as expert evaluator, panel raporteur and reviewer for a number of programmes including eTEN, CIP, FP5, FP6, FP7 and presently H2020 and COSME.

Since 2003, she is actively involved, as member of the jury and of the organising committee, in the Cyprus Entrepreneurship Competition (CyEC), an annual Business Plan Competition organised by the University of Cyprus that focuses on technology innovation.

​Dr. Mardapitta-Hadjipandeli holds a First Class BSc (Honours) and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham, U.K. She attended the MIT Sloan Executive Management and Leadership training course “Entrepreneurship Development Programme”, focussing on technology-based entrepreneurship. She is a Certified Investment Services professional (CN1735).

Current Projects

EMSc (UK) Ltd - LMH AKTIS ASSOCIATES LTD, acting as advisors to EMSc(UK) Ltd, has been instrumental in its successful application for funding under the H2020 Dedicated SME Instrument (Phase 2) of the European Commission, call topic SIE1-2014/15: “Stimulating the innovation potential of SMEs for a low carbon energy system”.

EMSc(UK) Ltd - a leading UK engineering manufacturer of innovative energy saving systems - is receiving a grant of the order of €1,5 million for the pilot-testing of an integrated Smart Grid solution based on its leading Powerstar® voltage optimisation system design with storage mediums and renewable energy sources (the “Powerstar Virtual Power Station” or ‘PVPS’ solution). The pilot will evaluate and demonstrate the benefits of the PVPS solution at a commercial site in a live operational environment, ensuring that the User and the DSOs have a clear understanding of the value of the PVPS solution.

The ‘Powerstar Virtue’ project will run for two years, commencing on 1st of July 2015, with LMH AKTIS ASSOCIATES LTD providing guidance and support during implementation.
